Take the yawning out of your morning with Soreen

Seeing as our brand new Breakfast Bakes are specially designed for fast-moving people who want breakfast on the go, we thought we’d stay on that particular track with some handy hacks on how to cope with your morning.

Don’t keep hitting the snooze button

Hitting the snooze button half a dozen times only gains you a few more minutes in bed, and probably zero more minutes of sleep. Try placing your alarm clock out of reach, or even at the other side of the room, so you have to get out of bed to turn it off.

Brighten up your day – literally!

As soon as you’re out of bed, throw back the curtains and let the natural light stream in. Even if it’s not a sunny day, you’ll feel better for things being brighter.

Take the plunge

Instead of a tea or coffee, start your day with a large glass of iced water. Invigorating, refreshing and a great way to blow off the cobwebs.

Clear that clutter

A bathroom crowded with toiletries and cosmetics can add to early morning stress, so de-clutter it by throwing away empty bottles and stuff you no longer use. The more space you have, the better you’ll feel.

Put some tunes on

Playing music while you’re getting dressed and eating your breakfast will put you in a good mood for the day. And we don’t just mean stick the radio on in the background; go for some of your favourite tracks for that feel-good morning playlist.

Plan ahead.

Spend just five minutes going over your schedule for the day ahead, whether it’s what you’ve got on at work, or multi-tasking for the family, so that you’re aware of everything you need to do.

Don’t switch on until you’re ready

Avoid the temptation to lean over the side of the bed and grab your phone. Wait until you’re showered, dressed and groomed before you even think about communicating with the outside world.

So there are some suggestions to help you hit the day running (instead of running for the bus). They won’t make you throw back the quilt and burst into ‘Oh what a beautiful morning’, but they’ll ease you into your day a little faster.

And one more thing, don’t forget to have breakfast! If you’ve time, a couple of slices of Soreen Toastie Loaf with your favourite spread on top is a great way to power your day. If you haven’t time, then grab our handy new fibre-packed squidgy Breakfast Bakes and take them with you!
