Competition Terms and Conditions

1. The Promoter

The promoter is: Soreen of M17 1PP

2. The Competition

• 2.1 The title of the competition is “Celebrating 85 Years in the Baking”
• 2.2 Soreen’s 85th birthday competition.

3. How to enter

• 3.1 The Competition will run from 17.00 on 16.06.2023 (the “Opening Date”) to 09.00 on 16.07.2023 (the “Closing Date”) inclusive.
• 3.2 All Competition entries must be received by us via Facebook, no later than 09.00 on the Closing Date. All Competition entries received after the Closing Date are automatically disqualified and will not be counted.
• 3.3 To enter the Competition:
  • (a) tag a friend on the Soreen competition facebook post by the Closing Date.
• 3.4 No purchase is necessary to enter.
• 3.5 We will will not accept:
  • (a) responsibility for Competition entries that are lost, mislaid, damaged or delayed in transit, regardless of cause, including, for example, as a result of any postal failure, equipment failure, technical malfunction, systems, satellite, network, server, computer hardware or software failure of any kind; or
  • (b) proof of posting or transmission as proof of receipt of entry to the Competition.
• 3.6 By submitting a Competition entry, you are agreeing to be bound by these terms and conditions.
  A winner will be chosen by random draw on 26th July 2023.

4. Eligibility

• 4.1 The Competition is only open to all residents in England, Scotland and Wales aged 18 years or over, except:
  • (a) Our employees or Employees of our holding or subsidiary companies;
  • (b) employees of agents or suppliers of Ours or Our holding or subsidiary companies, who are professionally connected with the Competition or its administration; or
  • (c) members of the immediate families or households of (a) and (b) above.
• 4.2 In entering the Competition, you confirm that you are eligible to do so and eligible to claim the prize or any prize you may win. We may require you to provide proof that you are eligible to enter the Competition.
• 4.3 We will not accept Competition entries that are:
  • (a) automatically generated by computer;
  • (b) completed by third parties or in bulk;
  • (c) illegible, have been altered, reconstructed, forged or tampered with;
  • (d) photocopies and not originals; or
  • (e) incomplete.
• 4.4 There is a limit of [one entry to the Competition per household OR one entry per person]. Entries on behalf of another person will not be accepted and joint submissions are not allowed.
• 4.5 We reserve all rights to disqualify you if your conduct is contrary to the spirit or intention of the Competition.

5. The prize

• 5.1 The prize will be a day trip for 2 to the Soreen factory with a tour of the Soreen bakery and lunch provided.
• 5.2 Prizes are subject to availability. We reserve the right to substitute the prize with a prize of equal or greater value.
• 5.3 The prize is supplied by Soreen.
• 5.4 The prize is not negotiable or transferable.

6. Winners

• 6.1 Our decision, or the results of the Competition, are final and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into.
• 6.2 We will contact the winner personally as soon as practicable after the Announcement Date, using the telephone number or email address provided with the Competition entry.
• 6.3 We will either publish or make available information that indicates that a valid award took place. To comply with this obligation We will provide the surname and county of major prize winners and, if applicable, their winning entries to anyone who writes to the address set out in clause 3.2 (enclosing a self-addressed envelope) within two weeks after the Closing Date of the competition.
• 6.4 If you object to any or all of your surname, county and winning entry being published or made available, please contact Us at the address shown in clause 3.2 or by email abi.petitt@soreen.com. In such circumstances, We must still provide the information and winning entry to the Advertising Standards Authority on request.

7. Claiming the prize

• 7.1 Please liase with Soreen to organise the bakery tour on a week day in 2023. The date must be suitable for yourself, your +1 and Soreen also.
• 7.2 We will make all reasonable efforts to contact the winner. If the winner cannot be contacted or is not available, or has not claimed their prize within 14 of days of the Announcement Date, We reserve the right to offer the prize to the next eligible entrant selected from the correct entries that were received before the Closing Date.
• 7.3 We do not accept any responsibility if you are not able to take up the prize.
• 8. Limitation of liability

Insofar as is permitted by law, We, Our agents or Our distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize except where it is caused by Our negligence, Our agents or Our distributors or that of their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected.

9. General

• 9.1 Entrants are deemed to have accepted and agreed to be bound by these terms and conditions upon entry. We reserve the right to refuse entry or refuse to award the prize to anyone in breach of these terms and conditions.
• 9.2 We reserve the right to hold void, cancel, suspend, or amend the Competition where it becomes necessary to do so.
• 9.3 Personal data supplied during the course of this Competition will only be processed as set out in Our Privacy policy – https://www.soreen.com/policy/. Please see clause 6 with regard to the announcement of winners.
• 9.4 This Competition will be governed by English law and entrants to the prize draw submit to the jurisdiction of the English courts.
• 9.5 This Competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by or associated with Facebook. By entering this Competition, You confirm and agree to hold Facebook harmless for any liabilities, costs, expenses, damages and losses whatsoever and howsoever incurred pursuant to this Competition.
